In this tutorial you will learn how to get the source for mplayerplug-in from CVS and create and install a rpm package for Fedora Core 1. mplayerplug-in is a browser plugin that uses mplayer to play videos from websites. Although, mplayerplug-in project DO provide a binary rpm for Fedora Core 1, this is a good excercise to learn how to use CVS and how to compile a rpm package from a tarball if the tarball contains a rpm spec file. This tutorial also covers how you can install win32 codecs for QuickTime so you can play QuickTime movies from mozilla.

Create a rpmbuild directory if you haven't already.
Create cvs directory in your home directory.

[tchung@localhost tchung]$ mkdir cvs
